We are currently seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our dynamic team as the Vice President of Finance. As our new #bloqstar, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and shaping the future of our organization, including supporting the opening of new countries.
What will be your responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Bloq.it's financial strategy, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives;
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency;
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and key stakeholders, contributing to decision-making processes and business planning initiatives, including in the expansion to new countries;
- Manage financial risk and optimize capital allocation, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and sustainable growth;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities;
- Lead the finance team and drive process improvements by implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred;
- Proven track record in senior high-level finance roles, preferably in high-growth technology or last mile companies;
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry trends;
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization;
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations;
- Demonstrated experience in driving organizational change, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Excellent English and Portuguese communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner;
- Knowledge of Portuguese regulatory requirements and tax laws.
Extra valued skills
- Experience with international expansion and global financial operations, particularly in opening new countries;
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and ERP systems.
