At the moment we’re looking for a new #bloqstar to support our Supply Chain operations as a Buyer. You will be part of the team that is responsible for supporting the planning and procurement activities for Bloq.it smart locker solutions. The Supply Chain department plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations across the entire company.
As a Technical Procurement in the smart locker industry, your role will be crucial in assisting with the purchasing activities and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, components, and equipment necessary for our production processes. You will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to place orders and follow up on the due deliveries of needed quality and quantity of the specified materials.
What will be your responsibilities
- Assist in implementing sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives while ensuring compliance with purchasing budgets;
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to identify alternative materials, components and technical solutions aligned with project requirements;
- Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with technical suppliers to optimize costs, ensure timely delivery, foster innovations and maintain a reliable supply chain;
- Assess and ensure that all purchased components and materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards;
- Manage the sourcing, purchasing and procurement of components effectively and efficiently;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, production and logistics, to align procurement activities with production schedules, project timelines and company goals;
- Communicate with stakeholders to address their purchasing needs and concerns promptly;
- Research and explore new technologies, materials, and suppliers that can improve efficiency, innovation and enhance competitiveness.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Experience in a purchasing or procurement role (minimum 4 years);
- Experience in technical procurement in the electronics field is a plus;
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred;
- Basic negotiation and contract management skills;
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities;
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken);
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
- Experience with Excel and/or GoogleSheets.
