We're now in search of a new #bloqstar to join us as a Shipping Specialist. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in overseeing all aspects of operational processes within the company, with a focus on our French and Italian branches and transportation/shipping areas. This key role will focus on dealing with French and Italian shipping suppliers, with transportation being the most important area. The shipping specialist will also be part of the implementation of processes to support the company’s rapid growth.
What will be your responsibilities
- Ensuring that all inventory movements are being done in a timely manner in our ERP;
- Control and monitor optimum inventory levels in different warehouses to ensure cost-efficiency and minimize carrying costs;
- Assists in the ERP maintenance in the inventory module (stock control and movements);
- Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance and operational efficiency;
- Proactively identify and communicate to internal stakeholders low stock or out-of-stock situations for immediate replenishment;
- Manage transport requests and shipping issues;
- Create and update transportation orders and regularly communicate with internal and external partners;
- Analyze and control operational performance indicators (delivery times and costs) and optimize the existing processes;
- Prepare transport documentation (for example: packing lists, and transport guides) and follow compliance accordingly.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Live in Portugal.
- Good level of English and Portuguese, other languages would be a plus;
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field;
- 3+ years of experience in Shipping, Logistics, Transportation management or Supply Chain;
- Proficient in logistics and inventory management software;
- Analytical, methodical and process oriented;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and continuously improving environment;
- Good communication, team collaboration and organizational skills;
- Great negotiation skills;
- Advanced problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail;
- Proactive, always looking to improve established processes and collaborating with other teams to find new improvement possibilities;
Extra valued skills
- Experience with Odoo is a big plus;
- Experience in inventory management within multiple locations;
- Experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance and incoterms. Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with implementing and maintaining ERP.
