Industrial Product Designer

We are in search of a Industrial Product Designer to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in our team.

What will be your responsibilities

• Support the design and development of industrial design concepts for electronic or smart products,
  while actively participating in our production team;
• Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD tools to assist in creating detailed and accurate 3D models,
  considering manufacturing constraints and product requirements;
• Play a role in the prototyping and testing phases, learning about different materials, metal mechanic
  works, and manufacturing processes to ensure designs are feasible for mass production;
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, project
  management, and notably, the supply chain team to ensure a seamless design-to-production process;
• Engage in user-centered design activities, learning to incorporate user research and feedback into the design process;
• Contribute to problem-solving within the design phase, adopting a proactive approach to identify potential issues and learning to develop solutions;
• Focus on creating comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, manuals, and deployment documents, crucial for both internal processes and end-user understanding.

What are the requirements to join us in this position

• Experience in industrial design, with a particular interest in electronic or smart products.;
• Must-have proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD tools;
• An eagerness to learn about prototyping, testing, materials, and manufacturing processes, especially in metal mechanic works;
• Basic understanding of user-centered design principles, with a willingness to engage in user research activities;
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, essential for working effectively within the production team and collaborating with other teams, like supply chain team, support team, logistics, marketing, etc;
• A proactive mindset and problem-solving skills, focused on identifying and creatively solving design challenges;
• Strong documentation skills, with an emphasis on creating detailed documentation to support both production and end-user needs.

• Skilled in using digital simulation tools for virtual modeling and testing, accelerating innovation and reducing development costs;
• Knowledge of sustainable practices and materials to create environmentally responsible designs;
• Ability to manage projects using industry-standard methodologies, ensuring efficient progress and effective cross-team communication.
