We are searching for an Engineer Manager, Software Reliability & Support to join our innovative team as new #bloqstars. This person will drive a cross-functional effort and establish a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement to maintain our cutting-edge smart locker solutions on several fronts of our Solution.
What will be your responsibilities
- Lead and develop a rotating team of engineers handling 3rd-line support and reliability efforts.
- Define and implement monitoring, observability, and incident response best practices across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with operations and product teams to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Establish and refine processes for triaging, debugging, and resolving production issues.
- Advocate for SRE principles, including automation, error budgets, and post-mortem culture.
- Work closely with engineering leadership to define KPIs and SLAs for system reliability.
- Promote a culture of proactive issue detection and mitigation, reducing the frequency and impact of incidents.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software engineering or reliability engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry).
- Hands-on experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
- Solid programming skills in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- A problem-solving mindset with a data-driven approach to reliability and performance.
Extra valued skills
- Experience in products combining both hardware and software;
- Experience in growing Scale-ups, from being an early Engineer to 100+ people team;
- Previous experience implementing an SRE practice from scratch.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively across teams and influence engineering culture.
