We’re looking for a bold and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. As CFO, you will own Bloq.it’s financial strategy and infrastructure, playing a critical role in our global expansion and long-term success.

What will be your responsibilities

• Shape and lead the company’s overall financial strategy, aligning with Bloq.it’s vision and long-term objectives;
• Oversee all global finance operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance;
• Serve as a key business partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial leadership in strategic decision-making, growth initiatives, and global expansion;
• Drive fundraising and investor relations, managing relationships with current and potential investors, financial institutions, and external advisors;
• Identify and manage financial risks while optimizing capital structure, ensuring sustainable and scalable financial growth;
• Lead the finance team, building high-performing structures and implementing robust systems, reporting frameworks, and KPIs;
• Ensure full compliance with international and local regulatory requirements, including Portuguese tax law and financial reporting standards;
• Oversee financial aspects of expansion into new countries, including setting up legal entities, banking, taxation, and reporting structures;
• Foster a data-driven culture, using financial insights and modeling to guide strategic decisions across departments.

What are the requirements to join us in this position

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are a strong plus;
• Proven experience as CFO or senior finance executive in high-growth startups, scale-ups, or technology companies;
• Strong track record in fundraising, investor relations, and financial strategy;
• Deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and international compliance;
• Exceptional leadership, with a hands-on and strategic mindset;
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights;
• Experience in international operations, especially in setting up and scaling businesses in multiple countries.

Extra valued skills

• Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems, and analytics tools;
• Experience navigating M&A, IPO readiness, or private equity-backed growth;
• Familiarity with last-mile logistics, smart city tech, or hardware-enabled SaaS business models.
