Now we're on the lookout for a Logistics Manager, our next #bloqstar, who will oversee all aspects of logistics, inventory management, and operational processes within the company. This key role will ensure seamless operations, accurate inventory levels, and strict adherence to implemented processes to support the company’s rapid growth.


What will be your responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations, including transportation, warehouse activities, and shipping, onboard and liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers;
  • Develop and manage the logistics and inventory budget to align with the company's financial goals, while actively monitoring and controlling inventory levels to ensure cost-efficiency and minimize carrying costs;
  • Develop and implement quality control measures for the receiving, storing and shipping of goods, ensuring that products meet the company's quality standards;
  • Plan and optimize transportation routes to minimize transit times and costs, while leading contract negotiations with 3PL’s;
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance and operational efficiency;
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of logistics and inventory operations;
  • Train and guide staff in following established operational and logistical procedures;
  • Manage and grow the team of logistics specialists.

What are the main requirements for this position

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics, Inventory management or Supply Chain;
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing teams;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • Proficient in logistics and inventory management software;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and continuously improving environment;
  • Good communication, team collaboration and organizational skills;
  • Great negotiation skills;
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail;
  • Proactive, always looking to improve established processes and collaborating with other teams to find new improvement possibilities;
  • Live in Portugal.

Extra valued skills

  • Experience in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance and incoterms. Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in warehouse management.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining ERP. Experience with Odoo is a plus.
