We are in search of a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in the sales process by providing technical expertise, product demonstrations, and solution design to prospective clients. This role involves collaborating with the sales team to understand client needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure successful positioning of products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience in a pre-sales engineering role.


What will be your responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge and support to the sales team and prospective clients, delivering tailored product demonstrations and responding to client inquiries;
  • Understand client requirements, designing custom solutions with detailed technical proposals, collaborating with product management and engineering to ensure feasibility;
  • Engage with clients by presenting solutions to stakeholders, conducting technical workshops, proof of concepts, and pilot projects to demonstrate product value and address concerns;
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop account strategies and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling;
  • Participate in sales meetings, client visits, and industry events to support business development efforts;
  • Provide feedback to the sales team on market trends, client needs, and product enhancements;
  • Maintain documentation of client interactions, solution designs, and technical proposals, preparing regular reports on pre-sales activities;
  • Contribute to the development of technical sales collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, FAQs, and bid response documents.


What are the requirements to join us in this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role or similar technical sales support position. Postal or Transport & Logistics experience a plus;
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting sales teams and closing large-scale deals;
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies (e.g., CRM software, technical diagramming tools);
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, creativity in developing solutions, high organization skills and attention to detail;
  • Customer-focus, with proactivity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a positive can-do attitude;
  • Can-do attitude and strong desire to go the extra mile to ensure prospects and clients are comfortable with the concepts presented;
  • Must be able to travel freely within the European Union (EU) for work assignments and business meetings, occasionally further afield, as per business requirements.


Additional info

  • You will have the chance to be one of the first elements of our Business Development team, and thus help set the foundation for our team;
  • The role will require travel to client sites, industry events, and company offices based on business needs;
  • It may also involve working outside of regular office hours to meet client deadlines and accommodate different time zones.
