We are in search of a Hardware Product Manager to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. We’re looking for someone to help develop projects focused on hardware improvements and new products, both client and internal-facing. This role will work closely with R&D, and also with Operational Teams such as BizOps, Deployment & Maintenance, Support, Production, etc.
This role will report directly to the VP of Hardware Engineering.
What will be your responsibilities
- Understand, capture and translate business and operational requirements for new features and enhancements;
- Work closely with various stakeholders to understand and align the requirements and expectations of the hardware products;
- Be critical about existing products and processes, and recommend improvements or new systems;
- Work together with the VP of Hardware and Project Managers to define roadmaps, deliverables, SLAs and SLOs;
- Create the system architecture of hardware products combining Mechanical, EE and Software components;
- Define and track key performance metrics to measure the success of the hardware products and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful delivery by facilitating the resolution of blockers;
- Work closely with teams of Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Simulation, Industrialization and Quality Engineers.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Proven professional experience as a Product Manager, preferably in hardware, IoT-related solutions, metal products or related industries;
- Experience operating at scale with global teams and products in fast-growing consumer markets;
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous and changing business requirements;
- Experience as Systems Architect;
- Experience in products combining both hardware and software;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Extra valued skills
- Experience in B2B enterprise products;
- Previous work experience in a startup or scale-up environment;
- Experience with SysML and 1D modeling (ie.: Simulink).
